Most often, our lives never seem to be at a place of rest without having a million things to do on a daily basis, without realizing it, it is so easy to forget the most important things in life, spending quality family time together.

Simple little things that do not cost much, often have lasting effects that children will remember once they are grown up. Maybe restart a tradition that your family did or continuing with another tradition.

Simplistic ideas could be: a family weekly movie night – with a big bed in the TV room, with hot chocolate and pizza, or Sunday family lunches and board games thereafter, or pancake day once a month (I was going to suggest on rainy days but that won’t be feasible as most likely you will always be eating pancakes). Use this precious time to engage with your family by getting to know how they are doing. This is very important!
