A wonderful returning Christian family residing in Chiswick, West London is looking to welcome a nurturing part-time nanny to care for their 4-year-old son and 19-month-old daughter.

The family’s son is on the Autistic Spectrum however his needs are not very extreme and therefore it will be welcomed if the candidate has experience with special needs or Autism however this is not a requirement. Their son is less verbal and therefore the nanny will need to be more patient with him. Their son receives other support via nursery and tutors so the nanny will primarily be helping with meals, getting him ready for baths and bed, etc.

The nurturing part-time nanny will be patient, trustworthy, reliable, eager to have fun with the children and keep them entertained. The nanny must either be a Christian or be comfortable and happy to support the family’s Christian faith as the family sing Christian songs and say prayers with the kids before meals, journeys, and/or bedtime.

The part-time nanny will help with nursery pick-ups, preparing healthy meals and clean up afterwards, emptying the rubbish bin, attend to the children’s laundry, tidy up their playroom, provide a stimulating environment for the children to grow and develop through different activities, bathing the children and getting the children ready for bed.

The days and hours are as follows:

Monday’s – Friday’s: 2:30pm – 7:00pm with the option to start at 11:00am on Thursday’s if this is preferred.

Two Saturday’s per month: 9:00am – 2:00pm [this is not a requirement].

This live-out role will commence on the 1st of December 2020 however the family is open to an earlier or later start day. This is a sole charge role. The family is offering a salary of £12.50 gross per hour. This is a 12-month contract.

The role may be suited to candidates with child related experience as a teacher, nursery nurse, childcare assistant, junior nanny, afterschool nanny and nannies with the relevant experience.

It is a bonus if the candidate is a driver [the family will provide their own manual car] however this is not essential. The family have a dog.

The candidate must either have English as their first language or be proficient in English. The nanny must be willing to become Ofsted registered.

To apply the following requirements must be met:

  • Be happy to support the family’s Christian faith and provide a stimulating environment for the children
  • Be legally allowed to work in the United Kingdom
  • Have an up to date Paediatric First Aid certificate recognised by Ofsted
  • Have an up to date Enhanced DBS certificate stating Child Workforce
  • Have the relevant childcare experience with toddlers
  • Provide a minimum of two nanny/childcare related written references that can be contacted [three is preferred]
  • Have Public Liability Insurance [nanny insurance] before the role commences
